The Actionline Team are delighted to announce the Actionline Temp of the Year, as part of National Temporary Workers Week 2009 which runs from June 1st to June 5th this year.
It was a near impossible task to single out one person from all the talented temps who have helped Actionline meet the challenges of the last 12 months but it was unanimously agreed that the award should go to Linda Bridge. As an Administrator and Receptionist Linda has displayed an exceptional ability to fit in fast to any team and has brought her positive attitude and flexible approach to all assignments – essential qualities in today’s changing jobs market.
Linda has temped on and off for Actionline since 2006. In September of last year she was offered the chance to cover for the Receptionist at Geberit UK’s brand new offices in Tournament Fields Warwick and has been asked back on a regular basis ever since. While on site at Geberit, Linda was delighted to receive news of her award from Camilla Ballinger of Geberit’s HR Department (standing in the centre of the photograph) and Linda Robinson, Actionline Temps Consultant, who also presented her with a bottle of champagne.
During her varied career, Linda has worked as a Recruitment Consultant herself which means she brings to all her temporary assignments a particular appreciation of what’s needed to make a successful partnership between temp, agency and client company.
“Having now sat on both sides of the fence in recruitment, placing temps and as a temp, I recognise an outstanding recruitment agency when I see one and Actionline certainly has the right ethos whilst retaining a friendly and professional approach…I count myself blessed to be so welcomed into the team at Geberit, a highly successful, international company with prestigious offices in Warwick. I am always made so welcome. Believe me...it means a lot…”
Linda is a great ambassador for Actionline and the contribution she makes to the smooth running of the Geberit head quarters in Warwick is just one example of the way in which temporary workers cover key roles in every sector of business across Warwickshire and the UK.
Each week, recruitment agencies all over the country place around 1.2 million workers like Linda in temporary assignments and the temporary market contributes £24bn a year to the UK economy.
Although there can be only one Actionline Temp of the Year, as far as we’re concerned National Temporary Workers Week is a chance to honour the achievements of every member of the Actionline Temps Team and we’d like to invite Actionline temps past and present to drop into the offices this week and share in the celebrations.
We would also love to meet new candidates who may be considering temping for the first time. If it is difficult to visit us in person, you can keep an eye on our vacancies page or submit your CV online.
The last word has to go to Actionline’s Temp of the Year 2009, “… this award should give so many people who are out of work the encouragement to try temporary assignments during this difficult economic market, because temping can be full of lovely surprises…” |
